I have a friend who has a doctorate in law. He obtained his juris doctor from a law school in the United States. And he did it online. It cost him a small sum. But according to him, it was worth it since there is nothing quite like a degree abroad. Of course the law school is some obscure "university" I have never heard of and the curriculum consist of a set of law books with quizzes and an answer key. The grading system is based on the results of the quizzes which my friend sends to his "professors" via email. Heh. Predictably, my friend finished at the top of his class.
However, the women my friend tries to impress with his "law degree" seem impressed that he got a degree from the States. Now he intends to take a master's degree in business from the same school and via the same method. He believes that his degrees abroad will make him qualified to teach in girl's high schools. With our title obsessed society, he may just be right.
