legal services outsourced

outsourcing of business services (HR, IT, accounting, support business processes) is a growing trend in light of advancements in ICT, which allow workers to telecommute. with the prevelance of these global trend, even legal services are now being outsourced. India is benefitting largely from advancements in this area as shown by the following articles.

This is already offered in the Philippines. Last I read there is already one company offering legal transcription services. For us lawyers, this presents an alternative career. We just have to learn how to type fast. On another note, we don't even need to put up a bpo just for foreigners. A BPO can be set up to service our local firms, like a messenger service. Law firms don't need to employ people just for this.
