Customer service is one of the ways customers can communicate to the sellers, and correlatively the sellers means of knowing how to improve their services and products.
In the world of internet shopping, customer service plays a key role in the form of “FEEDBACKS”. Feedback is a system wherein the customer can literally give a feedback, positive or negative, to the seller’s service, products, or whatever good or bad experience he or she had with the seller. In most of internet shopping sites, feedbacks can only be deleted by the customer who wrote it and never by the seller. It is posted in the sellers page, to be viewed by anyone.
Some of the advantages of Feedback includes: A customer is given an outlet as to his satisfaction or dissatisfaction with the seller; the seller can boost his reputation in the internet site and therefore increase the trust of buyers; and it can inform other customers as to the trustworthiness of a seller.
A possible flaw in the system is that a seller could easily create a new account using a different email, if he receives only negative feedbacks.
But overall, feedback increases the trust of customers in the internet shopping.
