No Excuse Not to Make a Difference in this World

It is true that the present technology puts the whole world at the tip of one’s fingertips. It seems that one can do almost everything and anything through the Internet and telecommunication services. Teleconference are made available for corporate meetings and classroom discussions. Online purchases and food delivery can be done in a split second. People are able to find jobs and work online. Not only does one reap the benefits and conveniences of the modern technology for his or her personal use and gain, but he may extend those for the well-being of others at the same time. Take for instance, donations to charitable institutions can now be done online. One does not have to go to the calamity-striken area to render help to the survivors, all he has to do is type in his credit card account number and his help is on the way. Non-government organizations also gain much publicity through their websites in the Internet. They can put up a list of what supplies or what volunteer services do they need most. Even telecommunication companies allow people to donate by deducting their donation from their cellphone load. Online games, like Pet Society for instance, pair up with international charitable institutions and give part of their earnings to them. Internet makes it so easy for people to do good and noble things with just a mouse click and thus, there really is no excuse not to make a difference in this world.
