The Troll Age

Wikipedia says,
In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking other users into a desired emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.
I say,

KSP.

We've all come across trolls in the internet, in one form or another. He's that guy in the forum who annoyed you, fooled you, hated on you, but sometimes actually entertained you. He may even have been the one who came up with a YouTube hoax that led you straight into believing, giving the video five stars, and commenting "FTW!" He's that guy who, apparently for no rhyme or reason, comments on a perfectly solemn event on the internet that it's "fake and gay." He hides in the protection given by the anonymity of the internet, as trolls of Scandinavian folklore in the primordial caves.

He, as we hate to admit it, is sometimes you and I.

The internet is just so inviting for trolls. One can even argue that the internet gave birth to trolls. In the solitude of our laptops, a modern-day cave, it isn't inconceivable to think that sometimes our inner KSP just takes over and we just need that fix of pansin.
