The Dimensions We Impose

I have been in self-quarantine for the past two weeks. During this period, my time has been divided between resting, hospital visits, occasional studying and of course – the Internet.

I came to the realization that I may never ever be able to fully utilize this “new” dimension that technology has created for us. With the Internet’s seemingly limitless space, we utilize it according to what we know, what we need to know, and what we want to know. We use it within the boundaries of our own time and space. I read once that the Internet is a “vast, seemingly limitless space with no particular dimension but for the dimensions we impose on it.” Most of us just use it in a very limited capacity. We do not think of the bigger picture nor do we think of what CAN be done with it. Rather, we use it within the constraints of what we know.

However, even knowing all of these, we are faced with another problem: How can we ever comprehend its possibilities outside of the time and space that we live in?
