Chinese Bus to Change the Future

Chinese engineers have envisioned a bus that can change the future. I watched this video that's entirely in Chinese but I somehow understood what was being presented. A bus that can drive over cars. Yep, I'm pretty sure that's what they meant. See it for yourself!

The concept, as I understood it, was a reaction to our traditional modes of public transportation which were either costly (subways and metro trains), dangerous (deranged EDSA buses being a prime example), causes excessive traffic (still those EDSA buses), and/or highly pollutive (all of the above as long as running on fossil fuel).

The solution was to build huge buses that had a somewhat hollow "hull" for cars to pass underneath. The buses would take up one lane on a highway, with their wheels following a single path similar to cable cars. The buses are set to run on a hybrid system, which would include solar power. Passengers would get on and off through designated elevated stations.

Done properly, I really think this will solve a lot of our metro's problems. Given that our city planning has been awful and excavating for a subway is just way out of our budget, this "flying bus" just might ease our woes, our pollution levels, and (most importantly) our high blood pressure on the road.
