CLICK IT.

It seems that candidates have already learned to exploit the Internet as a medium for campaigning. It has even come to the point where you can see their faces on all the popular websites such as Facebook and YouTube. Personally, I find it irritating. Isn't it enough that they already cover all our buildings, roads and flyovers with their posters? Now they want to litter our computer screens?

So, in order to get back at these candidates, we all should just click their ads. Yes, you heard me right. Click them.

No, it is not for the purpose going into their Facebook pages to bash them. It’s just that most of these ads are paid on a per click basis. That means the more we click them, the more they have to pay! And given the number of Internet users here in the Philippines, we could seriously affect the campaign efforts of a candidates we do not like!

There are two possible scenarios which might result here. The first is that we can deplete or at least cut into the maximum allowable campaign budget. But according Maia's recent blog post, the COMELEC doesn't have any guidelines for online campaigning, meaning that they probably don't keep track of a candidate's online campaign expenses. Which leads us to the other scenario: click on the ads until they pull them out or until they go bankrupt!

In other words, UBUSIN NATIN PERA NI MANNY VILLAR! Haha! Or at least try to. =)
