Killing Time

Surfing the net keeps one satisfactorily preoccupied. Over the weekend I found some interesting websites you can visit:
1. Check your horoscope for this month at http://www.astrologyzone.com/forecasts/
2. Understand the biological explanation of the feeling of pain after break-ups at http://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2010-07/aps-rrs070610.php
3. Get recipes at http://www.food.com/
4. Share and know secrets at http://secretzen.com/
5. Take a free psychological test at http://www.quincyweb.net/quincy/psychology.html
Because of the influx on information and the limitless things one can do in the internet, it’s not unusual that many people don’t notice how much time they have already spent surfing. That is why it is one of the best ways and probably the easiest way to kill time.
I remember the news a couple of weeks ago wherein a member of the CBCP (Catholic’s Bishop Conference of the Philippines) had warned the public of the detrimental effects of spending too much time using the Internet and campaigned for its 30-minute maximum usage. I understand where he’s coming from but I know it was a long shot. Because personally, though I know I should limit the time I spend surfing the net, I always end up extending it and I know the same goes for almost everyone as well.
