So You Want the Google Phone But You're Stuck Here in the Philippines?

Here is an interesting entry from one of my favorite local blogs:
http://www.yugatech.com/blog/gooooogle/how-to-order-the-google-nexus-one/

Yuga lists the process he took to avail of the Google Nexus One (N1) Android Cellphone here in the Philippines.

One needs a (1) US proxy IP address (to order the phone), (2) Kind relatives living in the US, UK, HK or Singapore (who will shipped the phone to you since its only officially available in these countries), OR a MyUSMailBox address, and (3) A Google checkout account (to pay for the phone).

Yuga estimates that the phone would cost around 28,000 including additional shipping and customs charges. The price is actually fair considering that the N1 is one of the most advance phones right now and that Globe is selling the prepaid iphone 3GS at around 38,000.
