Video Blogging on You Tube

After trying out different forms of using technology to broadcast (i.e. Twitter and live-streaming) to a mainstream audience the issues and concerns of marginalized sectoral groups, I have finally done a video blogging, to articulate through a satirical bit the problems in Hacienda Luisita.

I have already found the first problems in terms of form, which would make it hard for personal video bloggers to replicate the wit and sarcasm of comedic political pundits like Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert.

Some of the notes are -
1. The VLog, as it is called, must be more snappy, with a faster pace.
2. It should have an audience, even a small one, to have a natural tone and air in conveying the message and jokes. It's awfully hard to talk by your lonesome in front of a webcam.
3. I shall lose the flat cap to avoid unfair Pacquaio references.
4. It is hard to transplant American political wit into the Filipino language and form. But we can somehow approximate.
