The car that blows cleaner air out its backside than you do

They say the industrial revolution brought forth the age of consumerism. Industrial progress has been seen as both a harbinger and product of rampant consumerism, so it’s this unappeasable need for the newer and brighter that’s often blamed for the destruction that’s the inevitable conclusion to the tale that starts at the coal-mines and oil wells. The trend, though, has been towards “green” consciousness, as exhibited by big companies these days. New technologies are constantly touted as the “most important development” in “greenening” the industry. Most, sadly, are complete exaggerations, like the Toyota Prius. This was lapped up by the image-conscious as God’s gift to green, but the electric cells it runs on are themselves manufactured using alarming amounts of un-green. Laying such praise on it was like saying Hulk Hogan is a “distinguished thespian” because he appeared in Rocky III. Now, though, there’s finally something to write home about. The Honda FXC just went on sale in California. It runs on compressed hydrogen and emits nothing but water. What does this have to do with ICT? I don’t know. But it’s such a mind-blowing development that I’m sure it has some kind of awesome effect.
