It's 3 pm on a Tuesday afternoon, right smack in the middle of my OLA duty. It's a lazy afternoon, only 1 potential client has walked through the door and with much trepidation asked "Pwidi ba mang-hingi ng tulong?"*
But I digress. I look around the OLA room and reflect on the wasted manpower. One person to track the mail. Another to log case assignments. And yet another to well, supervise.
Multiply this by a thousand times and you get a significant number of the workforce that is not involved in a work that is creative, fulfilling and challenging.
There are already numerous Process-Centric technologies that minimize clerical work and free people to be involved in other jobs that make a bigger impact in their lives but also in society.
And I think...technology is not a great equalizer. Money still makes the world go 'round.
*Actual statement.
